For the start of fastMOT, all project partners gathered in Delft, the Netherlands, for a two-day meeting to set the course for the next four years. The meeting not only allowed the partners to agree on several key aspects, ranging from the technical to the management side of the project, but also to get to know the people who share their journey of building a one-of-a-kind instrument for the biomedical field.
The first day was held on a perfectly sunny day at the venue Firma van Buiten, where each work package leader presented the details of the work they will be doing, highlighting the points that require collaboration with other partners, followed by a twenty minute Q&A session for each work package, which was well used by the partners. The day was rounded off with a nice walk around Delft’s picturesque central square.
On the second day, all partners met at the Technical University Delft (TUD) to discuss further logistics and timelines for the deliverables as well as to agree on the general project workflow. This meeting was followed by a visit to the laboratory facilities at TUD and Single Quantum headquarters in Delft, where everyone had the opportunity to see the laboratories and further discuss about the details of the fabrication and characterisation of the detectors to be developed for fastMOT.
After this first fruitful meeting, everyone went home excited to work together during the project.
